Emerald Beach

Crescent of white coral sand inside Ocean Expo Park on the Motobu Peninsula, a short walk from Churaumi Aquarium. Listed among Japan's top 100 beaches, it is divided into three sections: a swimming area with calm, shallow water well suited to young children, a relaxation area, and a sunset-facing section with views toward Ie Island and its distinctive Gusuku Mountain. Showers, changing rooms, and marine activity rentals are available on site. Entry is free as part of Ocean Expo Park, making the beach a natural pairing with the aquarium. The shallow, protected water makes it one of the safest swimming beaches in Okinawa.
