The most-photographed site is the Kodakara-yu public bathhouse on the 1930s merchant street where most visitors concentrate. The full three-hour circuit to the quieter west zone is worth the walk. For the cherry blossoms in early April, a weekday morning gives you an uncluttered view against the period storefronts.
