出羽桜美術館
Pioneering ginjo sake brewery with tastings in a Meiji-era storehouse and ceramics museum.
One of Yamagata's most celebrated sake breweries opens its Meiji-era storehouse as a museum displaying Korean and Japanese ceramics alongside brewery artifacts. Tasting flights feature their award-winning Oka Ginjo, the bottle that popularized ginjo sake nationwide in the 1980s. Tendo's clean mountain water and Yamagata-grown Dewa Sansan rice give their sake a distinctive soft, fruity character.
