岳沢
Dakesawa is a gently sloping glacial valley with marshy swampland as its base.
Glacial valley in the Kamikochi highlands, visible from Kappa Bridge as a broad green slope rising against snow-capped peaks and the clear Azusa River. Several hiking trails run through the valley, with gentler routes accessible to families coming from Kamikochi. Summer brings fields of orange and pink mountain wildflowers, while spring leaves patches of snow in the upper reaches and autumn colors the foliage. The Dakesawa Goya Hut, a mountain lodge at 2,170 meters, takes about three hours to reach from Kamikochi and operates from April through November with food, drinks, and overnight accommodation.
