大山ナショナルパークセンター
Visitor center at Mt. Daisen base offering cycling tours, nature programs around western Japan's scenic volcanic peak.
The Daisen National Park Center sits at the base of Mt. Daisen, often called the "Mt. Fuji of the San'in region" for its graceful volcanic profile visible across western Tottori. The center serves as a jumping-off point for hiking, cycling tours, and nature workshops that explore the beech forests and alpine meadows of the Daisen-Oki National Park. Several well-marked trails depart from nearby, ranging from gentle forest walks to the more demanding summit hike (about 3-4 hours round trip). The mountain is particularly striking in autumn when the lower slopes blaze with color, and in winter when snow blankets the upper reaches and a small ski area opens.
