Around 50 Edo-era wadokei in the former home of collector-ceramicist Kamiguchi Guro.
A small private museum housing around 50 wadokei, the variable-hour clocks built for daimyō households during the Edo period when daylight hours expanded and contracted with the seasons. The collection was assembled by Kamiguchi Guro, a clock collector and ceramicist, and lives in his former Yanaka home.
Closed Mondays and from July through September. Entry is 300 yen, cash only. Allow 30-40 minutes for the full collection.
