Overview

Historical sento near Skytree featuring a rooftop outdoor bath with a clear view of the tower.

Traditional sento (public bath using heated water) established in 1949. It is famous for its 'Rotenburo' (outdoor bath) located on the rooftop, which offers a direct and spectacular view of the Tokyo Skytree. The interior features classic sento murals of Mount Fuji and high wooden ceilings. The bathhouse has undergone modern renovations to include a sauna and a wide variety of medicinal baths. It is one of the most vocally tattoo-friendly public baths in Tokyo, actively welcoming travelers with all types of body art. The atmosphere is a perfect blend of nostalgic Showa-era charm and modern accessibility.

Local tips

Visit at night to see the Skytree lit up from the outdoor bath. They rotate the male and female baths daily, so check their schedule if you specifically want the rooftop view.
