Cape Puyuni
Overview
Cliff viewpoint above Utoro with sunset views back across the harbor to Mt. Iozan and the Sea of Okhotsk.
A small parking pull-off on Route 334 just east of Utoro at the top of the climb out of the harbor. From the guardrail the view sweeps 180 degrees across Utoro Port, the Sea of Okhotsk, and Mt. Iozan to the south. Sunset visitors get the silhouette of the Shiretoko range against the western sky. February visitors get the drift-ice view from above the harbor.
