Cape Goishimisaki Circuit Course

This up-and-down course follows a route to the cape past scenic highlights of the Goishi Coast, including Kaminariiwa Rock and wave-battered Chiyojima Island. The chalk-white Goishizaki Lighthouse stands out among the pines overlooking the Pacific, while the observation deck on the promontory offers views of the sunrise over the ocean and the sunset over the inlet and the mainland. On a clear day, Mt. Kinkasan is visible some 80 kilometers away. From the observation deck, the course circles back past Ofunato City Museum, which features exhibits about local culture and the devastating tsunami of March 11, 2011.
