A walking route east of Nagoya Castle threading past Meiji, Taisho, and early Showa-era Western-style mansions and storehouses that survived wartime bombing. Highlights include the Futaba Museum with its Art Nouveau stained glass, the Shumoku-kan former diplomat residence, and the orange-brick Nagoya City Archives. Most buildings are free to enter and nearly empty on weekdays.
