Overview
Area boasts two amazing gorges, Sandan-Kyo and Taishaku-kyo, both offering amazing hiking routes and lush forests.
National government recreational forest near Shobara in northern Hiroshima Prefecture, built around rolling terrain that supports flower gardens, cycling paths, and open lawns. The flowering calendar runs from tulips in spring through sunflowers and lavender in summer to cosmos in autumn, giving the park a different character each season. The grounds are large enough that weekday visits feel uncrowded, and the elevation gives the air a noticeable freshness compared to the valley towns below. Families use the playgrounds; cyclists use the 5km loop trail.
