Waterfront conference hall in Nago built for the 2000 G8 Summit, now hosting events with ocean views.
Striking waterfront conference hall on Cape Busena in Nago, built to host the 2000 G8 Summit that brought world leaders to Okinawa. The name, meaning 'House of All Nations,' references a historic inscription on the bell at Shuri Castle celebrating the Ryukyu Kingdom's role as a bridge between nations. The building's modernist design with its sweeping rooflines and glass walls frames panoramic views of the coral-blue sea, and the surrounding cape has been developed into a resort area with beaches and an underwater observatory. While primarily a functioning conference and event venue, the grounds are open to the public and offer some of the most beautiful coastal scenery on the main island of Okinawa.
