Azama Sun Sun Beach

On the southeastern coast of Okinawa near Nanjo, a well-maintained sandy beach with calm, shallow water sheltered by the offshore reef. The beach is popular with local families, particularly on weekends and during the summer school holidays. Snorkel gear, kayaks, and stand-up paddleboards are available to rent at the beach house. The surroundings are quieter than the resort areas further north, with residential neighborhoods behind the beach and a small parking area. The reef a short swim offshore has reasonable coral cover and fish life, and glass-bottom boat trips run on busier days.
