Overview
40-meter waterfall over columnar basalt in a mossy cedar gorge, one of Japan's Top 100.
One of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls, this 40-meter cascade plunges over columnar basalt into a mossy gorge 20 kilometers east of Tottori city. A 15-minute forest trail from the parking area leads to the base, where mist rises through ancient cedars. Nearby Nunobiki Falls adds a second, more delicate cascade to the excursion.
