Akiu Great Falls

A 55-meter waterfall designated a National Place of Scenic Beauty, where the Natori River plunges dramatically into a deep pool surrounded by forest. The cascade is spectacular during autumn when crimson maples frame the white curtain of water, and winter transforms it into a partially frozen sculpture. A short walking path from the parking area leads to a viewing platform with full frontal views.
