21世紀の森ビーチ
Overview
Pristine white sand in northern Okinawa with calm emerald waters, barbecue areas, and marine sports rentals.
Nago's municipal beach sits on Okinawa's northern coast where a reef break offshore keeps the emerald-green water calm enough for kids. This is a free public beach, not a resort operation, so the crowd is mostly local families barbecuing and playing in the shallows. Lifeguards patrol from April through October, and shower facilities and marine rental stations are on site for kayaking, paddleboarding, and snorkeling. The park extends well beyond the sand with lawns and a waterfront promenade, and the Yanbaru mountains to the north give the whole setting a wilder, quieter backdrop than beaches further south.
